Avril Lavigne-Who cares about where she came from when all you need
to know is her talent. 18-year-old, Avril Lavigne, a vowed punk-rock singer,
anything but that. She seems to clash between artists such as Alanis Morri-
sette, and Michelle Branch. A Canadian who strives like any other teenage
kid trying to make it in the business. Always the outrageous middle child
in the family, who couldn't keep herself seated in class and always strived
for more, then a small town life. This 18 year old singer/songwriter expr-
esses all of this in her debut CD, Let Go. With a down to earth writing
style that almost everyone seems to understand. Like many musicians,
writing is there therapy, that's the same for Avril. At 16 Lavigne was sig-
ned by LA Reid, she later moved to Manhattan where she started working
on her first CD. Signed for Arista, Avril had the impression of writing her
own music, but that was not the plan from Arista's side. They had the idea
of having other people write for her, but Lavigne could not have it any other
way then to write for herself. Now that the record it out, Avril anticipates the
reaction from the world and hopes to have a variety of different audiences.
